Who is behind the eye?

With a background in anthropology, I have a natural interest in other cultures and ways of thinking. The role of an editor highly requires a sort of immersion into the mind of the writer to understand the framework of their project. Understanding this role has helped me grow into the kind of editor I want to be while also remaining open and curious about each client’s wants and needs.

I recognize the specific challenges and opportunities faced by people of color and women, therefore it’s important to me to serve these individuals in my community as a way of giving back.

Doing this type of work is important to me because it allows me to see the world from a perspective that’s different from the one I grew up in.

“I’m also able to create new ways of connecting with my community. Most importantly, I’m doing the work of serving others.

“ThirdEye Editing helped edit my final paper on Black Maternal health. She was kind and provided an extremely quick turnaround with last minute notice but was professional all the way through. I would recommend her services to others!”

I have had the pleasure of working with Ms. Hegwood in writing my research manuscript. She is a wealth of information and highly skilled in population study design. She is very patient and pleasant to work with. I would highly recommend her in coaching anyone through their research writing needs.
